How we're reacting to tariffs so you don't have to
Making affordable products for your business is still our top priority.
If you're like me, the news of tariffs has had you on edge for the last 48 hours. With little to no concrete details regarding how/what/why, Art of Where is committed to providing you with a smooth and uninterrupted production and shipping. Let us react to tariff news so you can go about designing gorgeous printed products for yourself or your art-based drop ship business.
What does this mean? It means that if we start getting charged tariffs in the short tem for USA shipments, you will not encounter any additional cost until further notice. Depending on how the longterm situation develops, we'll put systems in place to have as little impact on pricing as possible moving foward.
It's that simple? It is! We support businesses worldwide. That's the way it's always been and we're not changing that anytime soon.
What should I expect from shipments to the USA? We will continue producing our products from our studios in Canada and importing them across the border to ship with USPS. Any import fees or tariffs will be paid before packages arrive to their final destination so there will be no surprise fees when your order arrives (as long as any new rules allow for it). Until we have more details as to the long term implications of tariffs, Art of Where will take care of additional charges in the short term. If things change moving forward, we will update you and work to have as little impact on your business as possible.
What should I expect for my shipments within Canada?
Canadian shipments will continue as normal.
What should I expect for international shipments?
Normally, we ship international regular shipments from the USA. To simplify the process, we'll start shipping regular international orders from Canada. Please note, this will avoid any fees encountered at the USA border BUT it will no prevent duties applied by the receiving country, as per usual.
Rest assured we are keeping tabs on news as it breaks and have very close relationships with shipping companies and brokers who are very familiar with cross-border shipping. We're committed to staying up-to-date the situation evolves and we'll pass on any pertinent information to you as we get it. Contact us if you have questions or concerns about your orders. We're always here for you.
