5 Ways to use Print on Demand Products for Fundraising

Silent Auction

Holding a silent auction at a ticketed fundraising event is a great way to raise even MOAR MONEY! Maybe you're hosting a spaghetti dinner, charging 10$ a ticket for the event. Why not add a silent auction and include a nice gift bag full of custom printed items? You'll have the money from the tickets, and all of the money raised from the auction. It's two fundraisers in one!

Big Cartel Site

Perhaps you want to sell items to raise money. You have local places to sell, but you also have a lot of friends and family who don't live in the same city as you. Create your custom products on Art of Where and take advantage of Big Cartel's free plan to open an online store. Use the AOW integration to easily process orders. Once you're set up all you have to do is promote your store and your cause, and we'll handle the rest!

Wholesale for Events

If you're fundraising for a future trip, perhaps in a year, design your products and order wholesale. It's the best bang for your buck, and you can have stock on hand to sell at dances, dinners, conferences etc. up until you go. Any time someone asks how they can support you, you'll have something to offer.

As a Perk for Crowdfunding

Crowdfunding is a really great way for creators to fund their projects. I've participated in a few. I loved looking through the perks, deciding how much I could put in and seeing what I would get. It made it fun, and I felt more involved than just sending someone 20$ to help with production costs. If you are raising money for something artistic like a comic book, you could include perks like limited edition prints. If you're working on a tech project, consider a tote bag or hat with your logo.

As a Reward for Sales Made

Fundraising as a group can be hard. Not everyone is going to be gung-ho all the time. To help motivate participants, offer rewards! Have a tiered system where certain monetary amounts raised receive products or bundles of products. If you're Canadian you probably remember Jump Rope for Heart, the Heart and Stroke Foundation's fundraiser. I remember wanting to get a water bottle or a gym bag so badly! I went door to door, I bugged my family, I really did my best to get enough to get something with their logo on it, to be able to show people how hard I worked. I was a kid, but tbh, I'd probably feel the same now!
